Wearables Part 2: Shoes & Boots

The theme for this week’s Maya’s Mix show is footwear. It’ll be a second installment, since songs about clothing above the feet were played two weeks ago for the Wearables Part 1 show.

Thanks to listener brainstorming, I found that a number of folks suggested These Boots Are Made for Walkin’. There are so many different interesting covers of the song that I couldn’t narrow it down to just one, so I decided to create a music mash to combine them together into one flowing medley (5:21 minutes). It’s now posted online to hear it individually, separate from the recording of the full show below. I used the computer program called GarageBand. My song includes clips from 18 different artists, and it was a lot of fun to create (even though it took awhile!). Click here to hear it.
