(aired 7/29/11)

Club 27

The 27 Club, also occasionally known as the Forever 27 Club or Club 27, identifies a group of influential rock music artists who died at the age of 27. The original members were Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, who died within 2 years of each other, 1969-1971. In tribute to Amy Winehouse, this show features her music for the first half, while the second half of the show highlights the tunes of others in Club 27. In addition to their music, the show includes interesting recordings, interviews and news clips related to these talented icons..
