Tim Wohlforth visited Literary Ashland in February to share his insights on the noir genre, writing short stories versus novels and fiction versus non-fiction. Tim has written all of it over his forty year writing career.
His PI Jim Wolf is featured in three novels, No Time to Mourn, Epitaph for Emily, and, most recently, Curse of the Chameleon. In addition he has written a stand alone eco-thriller Harry and Pink Tarantula, a novel in 9 episodes. His short stories have been anthologized in Best American Mystery Stories 2007, 'Til Death Do Us Part and Send My Love, and a Molotov Cocktail: Stories of Crime, Love and Rebellion.
On the non-fiction side, Tim has published On the Edge: Political Cults Right and Left, and The Prophet's Children: Travels on the American Left.
