EWL logo-BRAt the top of the 21 May 2011 broadcast, I mentioned that it was Bob Dylan's birthday; I was incorrect. Robert Allen Zimmerman a.k.a Bob Dylan, turned 70 on Tuesday 24 May 2011. In order to make it up to the Bobster (he hates that nickname), we present for your enjoyment The El Wayno Loco Show's Bob Dylan 70th Birthday Celebration. The first section will present a number of Bob Dylan covers, followed by some odd and rare bits found in A.J Weberman's trash, finishing up with some "officially" released songs. This program originally broadcast 28 May 2011 on KSKQ 94.9 LP/FM in Ashland, OR - streamed at KSKQ.org

Tied To The Wheel

(Some notes on "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues" : The song contains no chorus, but six verses. In all but the final verse, the even lines rhyme and the odd lines are unrhymed. In the final verse, the odd numbered lines rhyme on "ee" and all the even lines rhyme on "uf". This change in the rhyming pattern provides a subtle sense of finality to the final two lines: "I'm going back to New York City, I believe I've had enough".)
